  • Turkey, Bacon and Mozarella Sandwiches



    Turkey, Bacon and Mozarella Sandwiches

    Makes 4 sandwiches

     

    An excellent way to make use of left-over turkey or ham after the festive feast!
     

    4 slices rindless streaky bacon
    ½ cup (125 ml) Lemon & Olive Oil Salad Cream
    1 cup (100 g) grated Ladismith Mozzarella cheese
    8 slices ciabatta bread
    1 punnet fresh watercress, rocket or red lettuce
    sliced cooked turkey
    Lemon & Black Pepper Seasoning

     

    Grill or pan fry the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels. Mix the Lemon & Olive Oil Salad Cream with the grated cheese. Place bread on the work surface and spread thickly with the cheese mixture.
     

    Top half the bread slices with turkey and season with Lemon & Black Pepper Seasoning. Add bacon and salad leaves. Cover with remaining slices of bread.
     

    Serve accompanied with sliced tomatoes seasoned with our Rosemary & Olive Seasoning. Serve the remaining salad leaves on the side drizzled with a little more of the Salad Cream.
