    Best toasted cheese

    Serves 4
     

    A delicious lunch or vegetarian maincourse dish. Very good served on the side with juicy sliced tomatoes seasoned with our Lemon & Black Pepper seasoning, gherkins and trimmed spring onions.

     

    4-6 slices of bread
    3 T (45 ml) butter
    1 t (5 ml) hot English mustard
    1 x 200 ml Cheese Sauce
    1 cup (250 ml) grated Ladismith cheddar.

     


    Toast the bread - leave to cool. Mix the butter and mustard and spread over one side of the toast. Pre-heat the oven grill and spread the slices on the buttered side with a thick layer of cheese sauce squeezed straight out of the pack (do not preheat).
     

    Pack the slices, touching each other, on a flat pan and sprinkle the grated cheese over. Flash under the hot grill until golden and bubbly. Serve as suggested above.
